Aug, 10th 2010 by David Puretz

Color profiles will look slightly different from one monitor to the next of different manufacturing. For example, if you put the monitor of a Mac next to the monitor of a PC and open the same web page on both monitors, more often than not, the color schematics will look slightly skewed from one to the other. It is important to keep this in mind as you create web-ready documents and images. OSS' List of Recommended Wordpress Plug-ins

Jun, 29th 2010 by admin

At OSS, Wordpress has become a big part of our production capabilities during the last year. We use it primarily for custom theme development and as a CMS for Flash. Although we don't write many plug-ins, there are a number of third party solutions we can recommend that will enhance any Wordpress powered website. Most of these plug-ins will not be visible on the front-end of your site and won't require any CSS adjustments. Today's small business owners have realized that they need more than just a website, they need tools that generates both leads and paying customers. Read more

Wordpress as a CMS

Dec, 7th 2009 by Brent Gairy

For the last several months we've begun to use Wordpress on a number of projects, first simply for blogs, and eventually as a full-blown content management system. This was something as a change in mindset for OSS, we previously shunned off the shelf software in favor of building our own solutions for every project. Read more

New York City web consulting and development – Drupal, Wordpress, custom PHP and Flash programming

Dec, 4th 2009 by Brent Gairy

As a development agency, we often need to create mockups for our design partners, and wireframes are a great way to share thoughts visually. Wireframes are composed of shapes, text blocks and diagrams that will convey to the designer the position of page elements. Wireframes can be thought of a digital sketch, allowing team members to rapidly determine the overall shape and feel of each page, without needing to worry about color, images or font styles. Read more
